Reminder of early closure on Friday 21 September

Dear Parents and Carers,

This is a reminder that the school will close slightly earlier than usual next Friday 21 September, just after lunch. We are having staff training  in the afternoon on how to work better with children who have Autistic Spectrum issues.

Goodbye for the summer! We will welcome you back on September 4th!

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are at the end of the summer term. I want to say a heartfelt “Thank you” to everyone for all the efforts they have made this year to improve the life chances of the young people we work with. Pupils and staff have worked incredibly hard and I am delighted by the progress so many of the children have made in the school. The summer exam results come out on the 23^rd August, and we look forward to hearing about how well the pupils have done.

We will be busy over the summer getting the site in order. The works include improving classrooms, decoration, new carpets, fixing doors, and road resurfacing. We will be putting the finishing touches to the Intensive Support Unit which will be opening in September, which aims to provide additional help to those pupils who need it. 

The new term starts for staff on Monday 3^rd September. Pupils will be in at normal start time on Tuesday 4^th September 2013.

Lets hope we get some sunshine over August!

Parents' and Carers' Evening

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last week's Parents' and Carers' Evening was a great success for all those who came. It was a real pleasure for the teachers and other staff to feed back to parents and carers about how well so many of the children here are doing. One of the most important things that we do is to ensure that your children make progress at school, and it is gratifying to see that is a reality for so many of the pupils here.

The barbeque was a roaring success, and the evening was topped by some magnificent music performances from pupils in the Hall. 

Well done to all involved, and we look forward to seeing even more parents and carers at next year's events.

 Monday 25^th  June 2012: School closed to pupils: staff training day.

 Thursday 5^th July 2012:  Parents Evening 4.30 -6.30. Please come along for refreshments, entertainment,  and to find out face to face about your child’s progress at school.

 Friday 20^th  July 2012: Last day of term, school finishes just after lunch.

 Monday 3^rd  September 2012: Staff training day

Tuesday 4^th September 2012: School opens to pupils.
